Brief Biography
Jonathan received his MA in English Literature from California State University of Northridge where he taught English composition as a Teaching Associate. During his course of study as an undergrad, he developed an interest in the literary and social theories that examine the relationships and intersections between class, race, and gender. As the son of Salvadoran immigrants, Jonathan has a keen research interest in the study of Salvadoran wartime history, particularly its effects on the "memory" and "consciousness" of modern-day El Salvador.
In his spare time, he enjoys amateur astronomy, reading, and creative writing.
