I teach Child Advocacy (CADV 452). I am excited to help students dive into the world of advocacy and realize the impact they can make in a child's life.

As a teenager, I had many different career interests: animation, nursing, architecture, and forensics. The birth of my first nephew inspired me to learn more about children's development. I entered CSUN as an undeclared major and soon declared Child and Adolescent Development and a minor in Family Studies. I have been working with children and adolescents through different formats ever since.

These internship and professional experiences helped me realize the high amount of support many children need. I returned to CSUN and earned my Master's degree in Counseling. Most recently, I have been working as a TK-8th grade School Counselor and as an Admissions' Reader for UC Irvine. I am extremely grateful and excited to be returning to my alma mater to teach and mentor CADV undergraduates!

Fun facts about myself:
I love crime shows!
I enjoy drawing and hope to write/illustrate my own children's book one day.
I am into martial arts; I'm a black belt in Karate and completed a woman's Brazilian jiu-jitsu course at Gracie University.
I have a sweet 4-year-old golden retriever who loves belly rubs and cuddling.
