Brief Biography
Professor Kristine L. Beck is the Chair of the Department of Finance, Financial Planning and Insurance. She joined CSUN in Fall 2013. She earned her Ph.D. in Finance from Florida State University and her B.S. in Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Professor Beck taught at the University of Denver and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh prior to joining CSUN. Her research interests include international finance, investments, financial planning, and methodological issues. Professor Beck's research has been published in The Financial Review, International Journal of Business, Managerial Finance, Academy of Management Perspectives, and The Journal of Investing.
