Brief Biography
My name is Alexandra Larco Danbeli, and I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. I came to the U.S. when I was eighteen and started my journey in higher education at Pierce College in 2014. I graduated from California State University, Northridge, in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Child and Adolescent Development (Option: Early Childhood Education). Since I am a Latina first-generation college graduate, I strongly desired to continue my education. After earning my undergraduate degree, I graduated with my Master’s of Education in School Counseling from The University of Southern California (USC) in 2022. Completing School Counseling's required education and training allowed me to support high-needs school communities to overcome challenges. The diverse communities I have lived in and my experience working in education have shaped my pathway as a school counselor and helped me develop a multicultural counseling lens. The stories and experiences of my community are my motivation and fuel my passion for ensuring that student voices are heard, felt, and met. Currently, I am a full-time Pupil Services and Attendance Counselor for the Los Angeles Unified School District, and I serve two elementary schools in the San Fernando Valley.
