Amanda Blake
Lecturer
Brief Biography
Amanda Blake is a founding member of Pacific Nutrition Partners, a Los Angeles-based dietetic practice, and a lecturer at California State University, Northridge. Her most recent clinical experience was with Fresenius Kidney Care as a renal dietitian in California and New Mexico. As a dietitian with the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, Amanda covered the ALS and diabetes clinics, provided outpatient counseling, and followed veterans throughout the bariatric surgery process.
In addition to her telehealth practice, where she counsels individual patients, conducts workshops, and creates programs, Amanda has a passion for regenerative agriculture and its potential to transform human and ecological health. She enjoys following the inspiring dietitians who are practicing in the agroecology space.
Amanda feels one of the most rewarding aspects of the dietetic profession is the diversity of options available to aspiring and working dietitians, although she is aware of the barriers students face as they pursue entry into this field.
