Dr. Anaïs Valiquette L’Heureux is an accomplished Associate Professor of Public Administration with a Ph.D. in the field and eight years of tenured experience at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Her teaching philosophy centers on empowering diverse student bodies with practical, impactful knowledge, and she has extensive experience developing and teaching core courses in public administration, nonprofit management, policy evaluation, and ethics.
Anaïs championned significant program development initiatives, including the MPA program's Public Sector Management and Leadership and nonprofit tracks' redesign, and the establishment of a new Data-Driven Governance track. She also has chaired over 500 MPA students Graduate Project Committee.

Dr. Valiquette L’Heureux’s research is dedicated to crisis governance, disaster preparedness, and public sector resilience. Her foundational work analyzes regulatory failures, as seen in her doctoral thesis on the Lac-Mégantic tragedy, and she applies this expertise to contemporary crises, including the Lahaina fires and the Red Hill contamination. Her peer-reviewed scholarship appears in leading journals such as the International Journal of Disaster Risk Science and Public Integrity. She is an active Principal Investigator, currently leading a $180,000 grant from the Beverly Hills Police Department. Anaïs wishes to contribute to academic excellence at CSUN through student-centered teaching, innovative scholarly research.
