After a decade in the entertainment industry, Professor Ashley Grace (she/her/hers) transitioned to a career focused on societal change and equitable opportunity by earning her Masters degree in Social Work (MSW, PPSC, CWA) from USC. She also holds an AA in Early Childhood Education from Santa Monica College and a Bachelors in Child and Adolescent Development from right here at CSUN! Go Matadors! She is passionate about addressing the social inequities and challenges currently present in our society, specifically for individuals who have experienced trauma related to childhood maltreatment and/or sexual assault.

Currently serving on the National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) board of directors, She is invested in supporting youth facing disproportionality and inequity in the child welfare system and individuals who have experienced trauma.

Professor Grace utilizes her background in entertainment to highlight important change-making narratives in her role as a part-time faculty member at California State University Northridge (CSUN) in the Child and Adolescent Development Department and enjoys working alongside students to help them achieve their goals both within and outside university life.
