As I proud CSUN alum, who earned a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development, I have taken the incredibly valuable learning experiences of my time here with me, as I moved forward in my educational and career journey. After graduating from CSUN, I went on to UC Davis to earn my M.A. in Education and a multiple subject teaching credential. While spending the last 10 years teaching, I ultimately decided to go back to school and earn my EdD a couple of years ago.

Currently, I am a doctoral candidate at USC. With an expected graduate date of May 2021, I have spent my time within the EdD program researching culturally relevant pedagogy (CRP). It is the compilation of the opportunities I had at CSUN as an undergraduate, coupled with my own lived experiences and my belief of the importance of CRP, that have truly set me on this path and has allowed me to come back to CSUN as a lecturer.
