Brief Biography
Bethany Wexler Rainisch, Ph.D., M.P.H. is a Professor in Public Health at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and Chair of the Health Sciences Department. Dr. Rainisch has a MPH from Emory University in behavioral science and health education, and a Ph.D. from UCLA in public health. Bethany’s research focus is on adolescent stress and development and biodemography. She sits on the Board for the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). Bethany is also the PI on her third SAMHSA- funded grant, providing substance use prevention and mental health coping skills via web-app to students on campus (MATAspire Program).
