Brief Biography
I am an Associate Professor in the Health Sciences Department at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), specializing in Health Administration. My research sits at the intersection of two urgent areas: the ethical integration of artificial intelligence in health professions education and imposter syndrome among people of color in academic and healthcare settings — both framed as questions of equity and systemic change.
In my AI-focused work, I develop curriculum, simulation-based learning experiences, and ethical frameworks that prepare future health leaders to leverage AI responsibly and critically. My imposter syndrome research integrates scholarly inquiry with community engagement, including a podcast series and a memoir-workbook combining lived experience with evidence-based intervention strategies.
My professional background bridges clinical practice and health administration. I hold national and state certifications in diagnostic imaging, mammography, and fluoroscopy, as well as certification as a radiology administrator. I previously served as Graduate Coordinator for CSUN's Master's in Health Administration and am a Faculty Success Program Coach with the NCFDD. I also hold the ACUE Advanced Certification in Effective College Instruction.
Broader research interests include diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in health admi
