Casey started as an Assistant Professor at Cal State Northridge in the Fall of 2013 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018 and Full Professor in 2023. He is happy to be back at the same institution where he received his Master’s degree. At CSUN, he teaches Biol 106 (Biological Principles I), Biol 427L (Principles of Ecology), and Biol 502 (Biometry), as well as a number of graduate seminars. Casey has served as the Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee, a member of the Faculty Senate, and a Faculty Equity & Compliance Representative. He is actively engaged in service at CSUN through both Grad Studies and Faculty Development and committed to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
