Chris Bowles is an Adjunct Lecturer for the Computer Science department at Cal State Northridge's College of Engineering and Computer Science. Born, raised, and living in the San Fernando Valley, Chris graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and again in 2017 with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. His primary field of work lies with Video Game Development and Design. Chris has over 10 years of game production experience, ranging across both technical areas (gameplay coding, tool programming) and creative areas (pixel art, character design, story development). He has played a critical role in the formation of the University's Video Game Development community; a collaborative effort between the Computer Science and Art departments. Chris also has experience from working in the Los Angeles Games Industry, a billion-dollar economy to the local region. As a lecturer for CSUN, Chris hopes to continue to spread the presence and awareness of the Video Game Development Industry to students who are interested in entering into this thriving (and still-growing) career marketplace.
