Brief Biography
I'm a lecturer in the Department of Urban Studies a planning. My interests include alternative transportation methods, U.S. suburb history, post-WW2 Sub-Saharan Africa decolonization, Los Angeles water history, ecological ethics, parking, Los Angeles public transport (past and present), the Democratic Republic of Congo, 19th-century utopian socialism, and anarchism. I have an MFA in Studio Art from UCI and when I'm not at CSUN I teach in the Department of Humanities and Sciences at Art Center College of Design. Outside of my academic interests, I enjoy playing soccer, reading, cycling, and spending time with my wife and two dogs, Robyn and Terra.
