Brief Biography
Claudia S. Richarte serves as Senior Lead Academic Advisor at the David Nazarian College of Business & Economics Student Services Center / Educational Opportunity Program Satellite. She is also a part-time faculty lecturer in the Michael D. Eisner College of Education, both at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).
She earned her double Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and Psychology in 2000, followed by a degree in Chicana/o Studies in 2009. In 2014, she further advanced her commitment to higher education by completing a Master of Arts in Educational Administration with an emphasis in Higher Education / Educational Administration, also from CSUN.
On her spare time, Claudia’s dedication to service extends deeply into the Down syndrome community, as the Executive Board President to the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles. She is passionate about advocating for individuals who may not be able to advocate for themselves and helping them find their voice. Through education and outreach, Claudia strives to challenge stereotypes, dismantle negative stigmas, and cultivate greater understanding and inclusion.
