Brief Biography
Dr. Daniel Olmos is Assistant Professor of Sociology at CSUN and teaches/researches sociological issues related to race/ethnicity, immigration, urbanism, labor, politics/state power, and capitalist globalization. Raised by immigrant working-class parents in the Northeast San Fernando Valley, Dr. Olmos received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Sociology at UC Santa Barbara. Before CSUN, Dr. Olmos was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.
