Del Williams is the Acquisitions Librarian in the University Library. She received two undergraduate degrees from California State University, Northridge one in Liberal Studies and the second in Sociology. She received her Master’s in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. She has spent 30 plus years working in the University Library. Del became a tenure track librarian in 2014. Del serves as the president of the Black Faculty and Staff Association and is the co-founder of the CSUN Disabilities Advocacy Caucus. Del serves on the Black Student Success Council. She serves on the Project Rebound Community Advisory Board and was appointed to the advisory board for the Tom and Ethel Bradley Center. She is active in the California Faculty Association, serves on the Contract Development and Bargaining Strategies team and serves as the Northridge Chapter representative for the Council for Racial and Social Justice. She is the advisor to the Northridge Chapter of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Incorporated and Students for Quality Education.
Del served two terms on Faculty Senate (2019-23) and served on the Senate Executive Committee during her second term.
