Brief Biography
PhD from UCLA in Nuclear Physics using the 50 MeV Cyclotron. Prof Doty has an active lab in Live Oak Hall measuring radiation. Students have identified Cosmic Rays, Radon gas in the local community, radium in the nuts sold at the weekly farmers market and radioactive potassium in bananas. He is a tenured senior full professor having taught for 54 years and welcomes interested students. Often summer research as time permits
