Serving the CSUN students through fostering critical thinking, providing mental challenges, and serving on multiple department, college and university committees is my passion, in addition to serving nutrition and dietetics students as a co-Didactic Program in Dietetics Director. "We cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are" -Max DePree.
My training and research focus on nutritional deficiencies in chronic kidney disease and dialysis patients. I serve on the medical advisory board for the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona (NKF AZ), on the National Kidney Foundation's Council on Renal Nutrition's Executive Board, and on various committees for the International Society of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism, among others. I thoroughly enjoy working with colleagues around the world to advance renal nutrition.
