Brief Biography
I was born in Germany, raised in Georgia, and educated in Virginia, and have lived in California since 1999. I've taught at a variety of institutions, and conducted research in both academic and applied research centers, as a consultant to businesses and nonprofits, and as an independent academic. I am happy to serve the needs of the university and its community of students and scholars at any turn, having served on department, college, university, and/or ad hoc committees every semester since being hired. In my free time, I support fundraising for and grantmaking in music education for children.
