Brief Biography
Dr. Tao "Eric" Hu is an associate professor of Information Systems (IS) in Department of Systems and Operations Management of David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, California State University – Northridge (CSUN). Dr. Hu maintains excellent records as a scholar, professor, and business practitioner in the IS area. He teaches courses in IS, cybersecurity, and data analytics for undergraduates and MBAs. Dr. Hu’s research focuses on social media innovation, data analytics, and IS cross-cultures. He has published studies in renowned IS journals such as European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Decision Support Systems, Communications of AIS, ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, Information Systems Frontiers, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Journal of Business research, Journal of Information Systems Education, among others. Dr. Hu serves in many community committees and editorial boards of IS journals and conferences and maintains active membership with academic associations such as AMICIS, ICIS, DSI, and ISI.
