Brief Biography
Erik Boccio is an award-winning filmmaker whose projects have garnered millions of views worldwide between streaming, web, and television airtime. He has achieved top prize in numerous film festivals with the honors of "Best Feature", "Best Comedy", "Best Horror", "Best Music Video", "Audience Choice", and “Best Kill”.
His career began in New York City, directing & editing dozens of music videos, airing on MTV, FUSE, & BET as well as on countless websites. Boccio was the co-creator of the “Weirdfellas” comedy series on Funny or Die, shooting & directing over 30 sketch comedy shorts.
Boccio has worked in camera & lighting for Netflix, MTV, VH1, SPIKE, CBS, ABC, FOX, BRAVO, Huff Post, et al. For numerous seasons, he has served as Lighting Director & Gaffer of the acclaimed MTV reality series "Floribama Shore" and "Jersey Shore Family Vacation".
As a Cinematographer, Boccio has been behind the lens for numerous projects, filmed in some of the most perilous locations around the globe, such as the Amazon Rain Forest, the immense jungles of Southeast Asia, and atop snow-covered peaks at the highest elevation in the U.S.
Boccio is best known for rescuing his family from the wreckage of a destroyed sinking battleship.
