Brief Biography
I am currently a PhD student at UCLA in the Department of Education. My professional background in special education started as a behavior therapist, which led me to get my credentials in Special Education in Moderate to Severe (now called Extensive Support Needs) disabilities. My background in working as an education specialist for four years in a local Title 1 school has taught me to see the gaps between policy and practice. My research interests are finding ways to promote better postsecondary outcomes for autistic adults and the social engagement of autistic children.
