Evelyn Torres Garcia is the executive director of TRIO programs, federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Over the last 18 years, she has worked to provide opportunities and access to higher education for K-12 students.

Evelyn is a proud alum of CSUN and earned her Bachelors degree in Child & Adolescent Development and Psychology; as well as her master's degree in Counseling with an emphasis in College Counseling & Student Services. She enjoys teaching and mentoring students in the Department of Child and Adolescent Development. She regularly teaches courses on race, culture and privilege (CADV 460) and career exploration & professional development (CADV 250).
