Brief Biography
Freya Rojo has been a part time faculty with the Central American Studies program since Fall 2008 and with the Journalism department from Fall 2010 to Fall 2016.
Her research interests are on immigrant communities and the use of social media, music as an instrument of liberation and multi-media production for social change. She holds a MA in Latin American Studies from CSULA and a BA in Communication Sciences from Universidad de las Americas-Puebla, Mexico.
Freya produces and hosts the Spanish-language radio show Nuestra Voz at Pacifica Radio KPFK where she addresses historic and contemporary issues of the local and global Latino community.
