Associate Professor
Brief Biography
I am a historian of sport specializing in U.S. soccer history and international soccer governance. However, I have broad interests that include such sub/fields as diplomatic history and sport management. I am currently working on a pair of projects related to baseball statuary, as well as a manuscript that explores the transnational links between the United States and the international soccer system. The book Soccer Frontiers: The Global Game in the United States, 1863–1913 (University of Tennessee Press, 2021), which I co-edited, was named Best Anthology by the North American Society for Sport History in 2022.
