Brief Biography
I am Senior Speech-Language Pathologist from Los Angeles, CA. In addition to teaching at CSUN, I work in the medical setting providing services for inpatient acute care and outpatient specialties. As a clinician, my primary areas of interests include dysphagia, stroke rehabilitation, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), ethics and anti-ableist practices. Additionally, I have served as a principal investigator on quality improvement research projects to improve patient outcomes in the areas of dysphagia diagnostics.
I am passionate about providing education to best serve future generations of speech-language pathologists. I hold the position as Co-Lead of The Medical SLP Education Commitee through the California Speech-Language and Hearing Association (CSHA.) My goal is to increase evidence-based education opportunities at the California state level.
