Brief Biography
Dr. Jessennya Hernandez (she/her) is committed to student-centered teaching and her research interests include race and racialization; gender and sexuality; liberatory art, practice and social justice; transnational and decolonial feminism; Black feminist thought and women of color feminisms; and queer theory and politics. She is the child of Mexican immigrants and was born and raised in the Inland Empire. She also organizes with Black and brown grassroots mutual aid collectives.
