Jimin Pyo is an Assistant Professor of Criminology and Justice Studies at CSUN. She earned her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York. Her research centers on public perceptions of crime and criminal justice, such as confidence in criminal justice institutions, legitimacy, punitiveness, perceived crime risk, and fear of crime. Her recent work has been published in journals such as Crime and Delinquency, Journal of Experimental Criminology, and Journal of Interpersonal Violence, among others.
