As a former student of Deaf Studies Department in 2012, John Pak is currently an Instructor for the Department of Deaf Studies. He completed his B.A. in Deaf Studies/Psychology in 2015 and pursued his M. Ed at CSUN in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies - Higher Education in 2018. His research interest centralizes on Deaf communities resisting and navigating microaggressions utilizing community cultural wealth, anti-oppression works and critical race theory. John also works on several video projects and has completed hundreds of video archiving/editing for the Deaf Studies Department. When John is not focused on work, he enjoys drinking coffee (either cold brew, pour-over or cortado) at cafe shops while reading for a change of pace. Fun fact: he hates running, but he doesn't mind walking. So if you see him walking about between classes, he's probably not late, he's just tired of running.
Research Interest data is currently not available.
