John Pineda is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Health Sciences. He earned a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (HPDP) from California State University, Fullerton and a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from California State University, Los Angeles, with an emphasis in Community Health. John's research interest include drug use among college students and adolescents, and increasing first-generation college students in health profession fields. He also teaches the following subjects at Cal State Fullerton: Leadership, Grant Writing, Research Methods, and Program Evaluation.Aside from teaching, he works at Cal State Fullerton in multiple projects/grants in areas of public child welfare, public behavioral health, and health professions pipelines.
