John Pineda is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Health Sciences. He has a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion from California State University, Fullerton and a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from California State University, Los Angeles, with an emphasis in Community Health. John's research interest include drug use among college students and adolescents.

He also teaches the following subjects at Cal State Fullerton: Leadership, Grant Writing, Research Methods, and Program Evaluation.

Aside from teaching, he works at Cal State Fullerton in multiple projects/grants, including Title IV-E Education Program (Public Child Welfare), B-HEAL (Integrative Behavioral Health Education and Leadership) and HPPP (Health Professions Pathways Program). During his spare time he tutors students (undergraduate and graduate) in statistics and holds workshops in SPSS. He likes going on different hikes and trying out new food spots.
