Brief Biography
Biography:
Founder of the CSUN Orange Lab, a developmental research lab that specializes in early child development, cognitive flexibility, bilingualism, growth mindset, executive functioning, language-learning, memory, multilingual education, music on development, and cross-cultural differences among low socioeconomic status bilinguals. The lab services both the CSUN student population through mentorship and research assistant opportunities and the greater LA County community. Additional research areas include policy recommendations for effective dual immersion and multilingual PreK-12 education. Dr. Grote also enjoys playing the violin, painting, spending time with her friends and family, and teaching!
