Kathleen E Addison
Lecturer
Faculty - History
Brief Biography
While my dissertation is in 17th Century Russian history, I broadened out and cross-trained in grad school to be more employable, so specialized more in World History from the 17-20th century, including US. I am working a great deal these days in Women's History and Technology in Education. Beyond teaching, I am active in representation and improved rights for adjuncts at both the local community college and state level through my advocacy in AFT, CFT, and FACCC. I am an adjunct representative of the Academic Senate at Pierce College. I also chair an AFT 1521 committee for helping members attain Public Service Loan Forgiveness, which has achieved over 10.5 million dollars for our members.
