Brief Biography
Kosiso Ugwueze is an Assistant Professor in the department of English at CSUN where she specializes in creative writing. Her research interests include women’s narratives, migration stories, transnational literature, and queer histories. Kosiso’s short fiction has been published in numerous journals including Georgia Review, Kenyon Review, and the New England Review and will be appear in the 2023 Best American Short Stories anthology forthcoming from Mariner Books/HarperCollins. She is a graduate of the MFA program in the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University where she was the managing editor of The Hopkins Review as well as a recipient of the Dr. Benjamin J. Sankey Fellowship in fiction. Kosiso was recently the senior editor at The Hopkins Review and a lecturer in creative writing at Johns Hopkins University. Born in Enugu, Nigeria, she was raised in Southern California.
