Brief Biography
KyungMo Han earned his Ph.D. in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from Brigham Young University. He currently serves as the Director for the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program, which is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). In addition, Dr. Han is a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Dr. Han joined the faculty at California State University in August 2001. Prior to his current role, he served as the Director of the Athletic Training Program at San José State University from 2006 to 2022, where he was tenured and promoted to full professor. He also held a faculty position at Cal State Dominguez Hills for five years (2001-2006).
Dr. Han is serving as an Athletic Trainer for the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, marking his 15th year in this role. Previously, he served as the Sports Medicine Team Captain for the City of Seoul team during the 97th 2016 National Sports Festival. He was also the Head Athletic Trainer for Judo at the 14th 2002 Asian Games and a member of the sports medicine team for the 1999 and 2000 ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating events. Additionally, Dr. Han has contributed to the Board of Certification (BOC) as an Examiner and a BOC Exam Cut Score Panelist.
