Brief Biography
Dr. Byler specializes in nineteenth-century literature of the British Empire and also teaches courses on critical theory, children's and YA literature, film, feminism, and queer theory. Her publications include essays on Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle, Anthony Trollope, Mary Cowden Clarke, and the Harry Potter and Hunger Games series.
