Brief Biography
Dr. Liu's research includes human-machine teaming, accessible computing and assistive technology. At CSUN, he co-directs the Human-Computing Laboratory (HCL) to use real-world data to discover and address new challenges. Research results were published at premier conferences, including the ACM SIGACCESS Conference on Computers and Accessibility (ASSETS) and the Proceedings of the ACM on Human-Computer Interaction. Projects at HCL have been supported by NSF, NASA, Army Research, Amazon, Northrop Grumman, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, and other agencies and organizations. Through his experience, Dr. Liu believes that "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" in human-technology relation.
** The HCL is currently looking for graduate students to join research in human-ai interaction.
