Brief Biography
Magaly Guillen received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University Fresno. Part-time lecturer in the Child Development Department. Ms. Guillen is the Training Director at UCLA Academy of workforce Development, overseeing a training contract with LA county Department of Children and Family Services.
As a provider of direct services, supervisor, and administrator, Ms. Guillen brings over 20 years of experience in Human Services and child development. Her areas of expertise include child development, child welfare, child abuse investigations, curriculum development and workforce development. Her professional interests focus on empowering both helping professionals and the families served. Although she has held multiple roles in public services, including eligibility, child welfare and staff development as well as program development and program implementation, her passion is to serve those that assist and protect the most vulnerable populations.
