Michael Phillips

Brief Biography
Dr. G. Michael Phillips has published widely in the areas of finance, economics, and statistics. His current research focuses on aspects of portfolio and investment management, particularly as related to individuals’ financial planning decisions. He received his B.S. with dual majors in Economics and Mathematics from Illinois State University, and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Phillips joined the CSUN faculty in 1985. He previously taught at the University of Southern California and was an Economist for the United States Department of Commerce.
