I achieved my Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and joined California State University Northridge in 2021. My research involves speech perception, training, and enhancement in noise, especially for non-native listeners and the populations with hearing loss or pitch processing disorders (e.g., amusia and tone agnosia). My current research focuses on the techniques of speech enhancement and measurements of the capacities against noise masking.

I am also interested in clinical audiology. I got my clinical training at several clinical settings, including University of Texas Speech and Hearing Center, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center (Round Rock), Austin ENT Associates (Round Rock) and Sonova Group (Shanghai). My clinical experience involves hearing evaluation, hearing aid fitting/fine tuning, Videonystagmography (VNG) test and Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) treatment.
