Brief Biography
A former high school English teacher in Santa Monica and Literacy Coach in South Los Angeles, my home department is the Secondary Education Department, where I serve as the Graduate Coordinator. In addition, I am currently the Department Chair of Elementary Education. My research interests are teacher learning and reading across the content areas. So far I have resisted the daily temptation to buy clothes for my dogs.
