Brief Biography
A former high school English teacher in Santa Monica and Literacy Coach in South Los Angeles, I am serving as the Eisner Endowed Chair and Executive Director for the Center for Teaching and Learning. My research interests are teacher learning, reading across the content areas, and community partnerships. So far I have resisted the daily temptation to buy clothes for my dogs.
