Brief Biography
Dr. Garcia has worked previously as a full-time lecturer at Cal State San Bernardino, where she taught several courses in the secondary education credential program and supervised student teachers. At CSUN, she primarily teaches courses that focus on multicultural education, language acquisition, and bilingual literacy. Her research interests include Latina/o secondary schooling, college access for urban minorities, single-sex schooling, gender as curriculum, and bilingual/bicultural education.
