Monique has worked in the early childhood education field for over 11 years. Her experience includes 8 years of working as an Infant/Toddler teacher in various early learning programs throughout the San Fernando Valley and has also worked as a child development specialist with family childcare providers in the LA area. She spent 5 years as a Center Director for an Early Head Start program and currently works to provide high quality professional development opportunities and trainings for early childhood professionals and also supervising several grant programs for a non profit resource and referral agency. She has presented on various topics to hundreds of teachers and staff, as well as facilitated parent education presentations to low-income families. She holds a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Development, both from CSUN. Monique is a loving mother to two daughters. In her spare time, you can find Monique cooking, crafting/scrapbooking, or watching her favorite crime shows, HGTV, and cooking channels.
