Brief Biography
Nida Rinthapol earned her Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Cultural Perspective & Comparative Education and Quantitative Methods in Social Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Dr. Rinthapol's research interests include exploring aspects of motivation and goal orientation among children and teens from immigrant backgrounds. Prior to joining the faculty at CSUN, she was a senior researcher and associate director for data resources at UCLA. She also teaches undergraduate courses at CSU Dominguez Hills. Dr. Rinthapol enjoys teaching and mentoring undergraduate students and spurring their passion for research and the pursuit of education.
