I specialize in researching the experiences of first-generation university students from diverse immigrant . I focus on the barriers these students encounter in STEM fields, including psychology, engineering, and computer science. My work also extends to the experiences of first-generation graduate students and faculty, particularly issues that affect their mental health and career pursuits. In the second strand of my work, I explore the mental health outcomes, challenges, and strategies of these students, including those who are undocumented. Additionally, I delve into technology-related issues, examining topics such as sexual harassment in online gaming, women’s experiences in eSports, and bias in Artificial Intelligence.

To summarize, I do work on equity, first-gen immigrants, first-gen students, and technology.
