I focus on the barriers these students encounter in STEM fields, including psychology, engineering, and computer science. My work also extends to the experiences of first-generation graduate students and faculty, particularly issues that affect their mental health and career pursuits. In the second strand of my work, I explore the mental health outcomes, challenges, and strategies of these students, including those who are undocumented.
