I finished my postdoctoral fellowship in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department, School of Medicine, São Paulo State University, Laboratory of Kinesiology in 2016. I hold a master's degree and a Ph.D. in Biomechanics and Strength Training at São Paulo State University. I'm a Sports Training and Conditioning Specialist; an Exercise Physiology Specialist (UNIFESP/Brazil); and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA/USA). I supervised graduate students in the Human Movement Science Graduate Program (master of science and doctorate degree) at UNIMEP/Brazil. Sixteen years of successful experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate students (disciplines: electromyography, advances in strength training, biomechanics, exercise physiology, applied kinesiology, resistance training, strength training, athletic training, and personal training). I developed and managed a graduate program called "Biomechanics and Physical Conditioning Specialist"/FMU, Brazil. I have written nine academic books: Strength Training Manual (2021, 2022, and 2023); Guide of Resistance Training (2013), Applied Biomechanics for Resistance Training (2007), Prescription and Periodization for Practitioners (2012 and 2016, 2ed.), Planning and Prescription for Personal Trainers: from beginner to advanced (2014).
