Belinda Hammond, M.A., M.S., CCLS, CIMI. Ms. Hammond is the founder of Child Life Connection, a consulting service who's mission is to bring play, diversion, and education into pediatric settings, all in an effort to make being in the hospital less scary for children. Ms. Hammond holds a B.A. in Child Development and an M.A. in Educational Psychology/Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Play Therapy (both from California State University Northridge), an M.S. in Sports and Health Science (from American Public University), and is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership through California State University Fresno. Ms. Hammond is also faculty at both Eastern Washington University and American Public University.

Ms. Hammond completed her Child Life Fieldwork at Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA and her Child Life Internship at Cedar Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA), and has practiced as a Certified Child Life Specialist at both Loma Linda University Children's Hospital (CA) and Kaiser Permanente (CA). Ms. Hammond is the founder of Child Life Connection (http://childlifeconnection.com), a consulting service supporting pediatric care providers in the Tri-Counties (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties and beyond), and serves as a board member for the Oscar Litwak Foundation (http://oscarlitwakfoundation.com) and as a community representative for Make-A-Wish Tri-Counties.
