Dr. Rashida Hasan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her research interests span machine learning, data mining, and deep learning, with current projects focusing on anomaly detection, concept drift, continual learning, feature selection, and deepfake detection. Her vision is to make “AI Less EVIL” by developing intelligent systems that are ethical, transparent, and socially responsible, ensuring that AI technologies benefit society while minimizing harm.
Apart from research, she loves music, poetry, and astronomy.
