Brief Biography
Rebecca Lustig has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Environmental & Occupational Health from CSUN. She is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Associate Safety Professional, and has a Grade D1 Water Distribution Operator certification. Rebecca started her EOH career in 2007 at the Ventura County Environmental Health Division. She spent over 14 years at Ventura County EHD in multiple positions, including field inspector in the Community Services Section and the CUPA/Hazardous Materials Section; program specialist in the Land Use/CEQA and Small Water Systems programs, and Supervising EHS for the Land Use/CEQA, Small Water Systems, Liquid Waste, Solid Waste, and Ocean Water Quality Monitoring programs. She is currently working as the Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor (Safety Officer) at Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency where she oversees the SCV Water's Health and Safety, Hazardous Materials/Waste, and Emergency Preparedness and Response programs. She has been lecturing at CSUN since 2015.
