Brief Biography
S. K. Ramesh is a Professor of ECE and Director and PI of the Secure for Student Success (SfS2) program, (https://www.ecs.csun.edu/sfs2) supported with a multi-year Title V grant from the US Department of Education program. Previously, he founded and led the multi-institutional nationally recognized AIMS2 program that was recognized by UEDA as the 2021 Award of Excellence winner, and by Excelencia as the 2019 Example of Excelencia in the baccalaureate program category. See www.ecs.csun.edu/aims2 for details. Dr. Ramesh served as Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science from Aug 2006- Aug 2017. Earlier he was Professor of Electrical Engineering CSU, Sacramento where he was the Department Chair from '94 to '06. Dr. Ramesh is an IEEE Fellow recognized for his contributions to entrepreneurship in engineering education. As the 2016-17 Vice President, IEEE Educational Activities, he served on the IEEE Board of Directors. He has served as the 2016 President of IEEE-HKN, the international Elec. Engr. Honor Society and in leadership roles on the IEEE Awards Board, Publications Board, and Fellows Committee. Dr. Ramesh has served ABET (the global accreditation organization) in multiple roles as a Program Evaluator representing IEEE, as a member of the ABET Board of Directors and Board of Delegates representing IEEE, and as the 2022-23 President of ABET.
