The Center's goals, objectives, and activities have been designed to produce long-term outcomes of reducing the long-standing systemic obstacles for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, who come from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds, or who have co-occurring disabilities. Through high quality and innovative activities, including technical assistance, personnel development, research, technology, and national leadership, the Center seeks to have a significant impact on the transition of all deaf students into meaningful postsecondary opportunities that result in fulfilling, productive careers. Project partners at CSUN, Saint Paul College, The University of Texas at Austin, the University of Montana, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee stand ready, together with stakeholders at all levels, with a purposeful, evidence-based, and effective national agenda, to enact and sustain a powerful system change.
